Our Marketing Strategy

For our artist we will be creating a music video. This will help promote, redesign and sell our artist.

Also along with the music video we will also create a website to present our artist online to allow us to open her up to a wider audience to generate more views and sales. Along with our website we will also be designing and making a digipak which will make owning the album more desirable as it will be ascetically pleasing.

This research shows that Music sales is one of the most popular topic online.

Putting our artist on youtube is not only free, but allows us to put out our artist. This will then generate comments and feedback on our video.
Also our artist will be visible to our target audience al over the world which will create a larger audience.

We will be using "Weebly" to create our website. This will include an online shop to purchase merchandise on the website, images of our artist, news on the artist, information on the artist, videos embedded of our music video and links to purchase our artists song.

Below is an example of a website we will be basing our website upon:

Goodwin Analysis - Emo

Dark set, dark clothing, long hair. Provides a dark and edgy theme of their subculture.
Use of makeup in the band makes them different to the idea of normality, as men aren't supposed to wear makeup as it will feminise them.

Elements of darkness and light throughout the video which is portrayed through the lyrics as well. Lyrics are emotional, which influences their audience and allows them to emotionally connect. About young love, allowing audience to connect and relate.

Only men in the band, will attract teen girls to the band. Song about love, also allow young teens to relate.

Dark setting used to reflect emotional darkness and then small hits of light to show little bits of happiness in life.

Goodwin Analysis - Hipsters

Vintage
Vintage cars and clothing provide a sense of earlier fashion.
Use of black and white throughout the whole video to create an older more 80's - 90's look.

Changed identity, changing image.
Insturmental music, guitars and drums

Standing out from the crowd, not normal.
Challenging the idea of normality.

Isolated, away from humanity. Reflected in the lyrics of being different.

Hyperreal characters, contact lenses, hair and insane looks.

Scary looking characters, look insane and psychopathic.

Portrayed through lyrics
"Breathe with me
Breathe the pressure
Come play my game
I'll test ya
Psycho-somatic addict-insane
Come play my game
Inhale inhale. You're the victim
Come play my game
Exhale exhale exhale"

Very agressive look, shown through the use of dark lighting and not showing a location. Sense of unknown.

Goodwin Analysis - Chav

Aspirational, view of London city. Aspiring to work here.

Goodwin Analysis - Scene Kids

Man wearing dark makeup, dark surroundings are in high contrast to the style of the music. Surroundings look hype-real, sense of dreaming. Genre characteristics man wearing makeup which is not the "normal". Colour in the music video provides the evidence of the song being more softer and energetic than what you would expect if you was to watch the video without listening to it. Music sounds like pop.
