Kesha hungover -
Style (lighting, props, camera effects): very dark, centre view on camera, sudden bright lights, quick camera shots
Image: dark then bright lights, lonely, isolated
Genre:pop/emo look
How well have they done their brand identity?
The colours of the video and digipack are similar, however the flowers/floral does not match, different fonts on digipack, contrasting one. The focus is on her in both, with the setting being the same in both as well. Black and beig are in both, but blue is only in the digipack.
I think that the video is worth 22/40 marks and 7/10 digipack, giving her 29/50
Red lights indicate doors are secure -
Style: Dark, intimidating, rough, 3 different fonts on digipack, digipack and video are similar
Image: Older, drunken, thugs, rough, focus is a lot on the artist and his appearance (cigarettes, beer etc.)
I would give this music video 24 out of 40. This is because it is consistant throughout the video but the actual filming and idea is not as good as it could be. I would also give it 6 out of 10 for the digipack. This is because there are different fonts and different styles on every page. This gives him 30/50.
I don't want to fall in love -
Style: Mature (aspiring), dark in the party, focus on the boy and girl, whilst having another character lip syncing, same font used on digpack (consistency)
Image: Sexual - red on used in the video and on the digipack, mature, digipack looks quite abstract and trippy - similar to the video (drinking, quick shots), focus in both on the intimacy of the girl and boy
Genre: Alternative Rock
This is a very good music video and digipack, there is consistency of colours and theme throughout both and they suit the genre of the song. There is good lip syncing and beat editing. I would give the video 36/40 and the digipack 8/1, giving this 44/50.
